Dear Doily Friendship Card

Hello and welcome to my blog!

Today I created a sweet and simple friendship card.

This card uses quite a few new products out of the Occasions Catalogue.

I started by die cutting the doily wreath in Soft Sea Foam Card Stock from the Doily Thinlet Builder Dies. I glued this into position on a piece of Whisper White Card stock mat, with the fine tip glue.pen

I then punched the flowers and leaves out of the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack and shaped the flowers using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool Stylus. I just pressed the end of the Scoring Tool Stylus into the centre of the flowers and made little circular movements to break up the fibres of the Petal Pink Card Stock. I worked on top of my Stampin' Pierce Mat to help support the flowers. The tiny leaves were punched out of Soft Sea Foam Card Stock. I then arranged and glued these pieces into position using Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I finished off the flowers by placing Pearls in the centre of each one.

I tied a bow in a small piece of Linen Thread and glued it into position using the Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I just love the versatility of this glue and if you have not tried it yet I would encourage you to give it a go.

The Friend sentiment was die cut in Petal Pink from the Well Written Framelits Dies. These are just a fantastic addition to any card. You really can make the perfect sentiment for any occasion with theses stamps and framelits. Make sure you check them out as they are worth investing in. I used the Fine Tip Glue Pan to adhere the sentiment to the Whisper White Card Stock layer.

To finish the card, I glued another layer of Whisper White underneath. Followed by another layer of Petal Pink and glued all these layers to a Sahara Sand card base.

I have listed the items used to create this card at the bottom of this blog post.

I hope you enjoyed reading how I put this sweet card together. It is gong to a dear friend of mine and I know she will treasure it!

I do hope you have found the time to be creative over the weekend. I know it can be hard to find the time as we are all so busy. I find creative time to be very grounding and it also give me time to think clearly as I quietly create.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

I really appreciate those that have subscribed to my blog too!

I hope to inspire you!
